How to repair a remote control

Have you noticed that the remote control does not work best for you and each time you need to press the key harder so that they can switch to the desired program, or do you find that the remote control simply does not respond? There is a solution to these problems, and the following few tips should be followed.

If you happen to have pressed the remote key repeatedly and it only reacted after you pressed it ten times, it is a sign that too much dust has accumulated over time in the remote like other dirt.

Remove the batteries and remove any screws that hold the two halves of the remote control together. Using a knife blade, separate the gap between the top and bottom of the case. After that, remove the rubber keypad and clean the contacts under each key with the help of an alcohol dipped earwax. The top surface should be cleaned with a damp cloth.

The contact plate should first be wiped off with a damp cloth and then cleaned with a clean, dry cloth and allowed to dry. Finally, assemble the remote control.

What if the remote control no longer responds? If the remote control no longer responds when trying to change a channel on television, it is a problem that can be solved.

There are several ways to check if the remote control is still operational. The first thing to do and find out what it is about, turn on the camera on your mobile phone, point the remote at the lens, and press the button on the remote.

A blue light emitted by the steering wheel should appear on the cellphone as the cellphone camera caught a beam of infrared light from the remote control.

If the controller does not work, it would be a good idea to replace the batteries, and if you suspect that the problem is with the TV and not the remote control, one check should be made before the master is called.

All lights in the room should be switched off and the steering wheel checked afterwards. There are fluorescent lamps that can interfere with the signal on the remote control. If it's a light bulb, you should consider getting a different type of lamp or bulb. Provide everything you need to be able to use the remote control.
