Imotski cake is one of the traditional recipes that you can make. You need several foods like: 20 dkg flour, 14 dkg butter, 6 dkg sugar, 1 egg yolk or a small egg. For stuffing: 5-6 eggs, 25 dkg of sugar, 25 dkg of almonds, maraskino, lemon peel, 1 vanillin sugar.
From flour, margarine, sugar and egg yolk, mix together the dough, roll it thin and coat the bottom and sides of the cake pan. Roll out and cut the rest of the dough, and with a luminous ribbon wheel about 1 cm wide.
Mix the eggs with the foamy sugar, add ground almonds, maraschino, lemon peel and vanilla sugar. Mix everything well and pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Fold the decorative net of dough cut into strips on top of the stuffing.
At each point where the strips intersect, press one peeled almond and place in a hot oven at 200 ° C (473 K) for about 45-50 minutes (if suddenly yellow, cover with paper). When done, leave it in the off and open oven until it cools down.
