What is lipolysis?

It's lipolysis a treatment that removes excess fat from certain parts of the body by laser or injection. Unlike liposuction, which involves the extraction of excess fat from the body by suction, lipolysis is the breakdown of fat, that is, the melting of fat. Lipolysis is a treatment that only speeds up the breakdown of fat deposits and is subsequently expelled by the body.

In humans, adipose tissue accounts for 15% to 25% of total body weight, and is found under the skin, in the bone marrow, around the internal organs, in the chest area and between the muscles. In some people, fat deposits are more easily accumulated on the upper body, in some on the lower, and there are individuals who gain weight evenly.

Sometimes, with pronounced cellulite and fatty deposits, exercise and careful eating are not helpful, but modern methods of body shaping today can quickly and easily solve this problem.

Most of us have one or more points from which fatty tissue simply does not escape, whether it is fat pads at the bottom of the back or below the chin.

Ideal candidates for lipolysis are people who do not have major weight problems but do not succeed in removing unwanted fat deposits from parts such as the abdomen, hips, upper arms, chest and chin.

Lipolysis can be done in two ways, and the price depends on the type of treatment and the area being treated.

Laser lipolysis

Laser lipolysis is minimally invasive treatment during which fat cells are removed by laser energy under the skin.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia so that the cannula is about 2 mm in diameter, at the top of which is a laser fiber from which optical energy spreads, it is pulled under the skin.

Optical energy warms and destroys fat cells, which are then converted to liquid mass and subsequently ejected from the body. The development of new collagen is also intensely stimulated with a strong skin rejuvenation effect.

Laser lipolysis can be used on cheeks, upper arms, abdomen, men's breasts, hips, buttocks, knees, thighs, leaves and ankles.

Recommended to people who want to make excess skin correction, especially after weight loss or childbirth, want to permanently remove cellulite, shape their back and the like.

People who weaken their facial muscles as a result of aging and relax their skin can shape their face with this treatment.

No special preparation is required before the procedure, except in the case of a larger surface area on the body. Then basic blood tests must be done.

Recovery after this treatment is individual and there is no universal rule, but it usually takes up to 3 days to recover, while it is recommended that for 5-7 days after treatment, the person refrain from stronger physical activity.

It is not necessary to wear an elastic clamp and no major pain which may require sedation.

The results are visible in some cases immediately after treatment, and with time they get better and better they last from three to five years.

Injectable lipolysis

Injectable lipolysis is non-invasive procedure by which mesotherapy needles with a length of all 4 mm bring certain preparations into the subcutaneous tissue.

These preparations act on the breakdown of adipose tissue, a it is possible to treat localized fat deposits on the abdomen and back, chin as well as cellulite.

This procedure is somewhat similar to mesotherapy, because even during mesotherapy injections under the skin are injected with certain active ingredients that tighten the skin or remove wrinkles and cellulite, depending on what is being treated.

Injectable lipolysis requires no special preparation. For best results, 2-4 treatments per region should be done and may be repeated after eight weeks.

Performing the procedure is not painful, but transient mild tissue swelling or hematomas that do not interfere with daily activities and disappear after a few days may occur.

There are various offers on the market, but lipolysis injection treatment should only be performed by certified physicians who have been educated for such a procedure, namely preparations obtained exclusively from associations engaged in the education of physicians and quality control and distribution of injectable lipolysis preparations.

It should be emphasized that not injectable lipolysis is not a treatment that helps lose weight, but shapes the body.

Ultrasonic lipolysis

Ultrasonic lipolysis is perhaps the best form of this treatment because it is the least painful - no lasers or needle stabs. It is somewhat similar to cavitation.

It is performed in such a way that the fat cells are affected by ultrasonic waves of a certain frequency, which convert the fat from triglycerides into monoglycerides, and these are further broken down into glycerol and fatty acids.

Ultrasonic lipolysis lasts about an hour, and to achieve the desired effects, 6 to 8 treatments are recommended.

Lipolysis gives best results on smaller body parts. In larger parts of the body, the fat deposits are also larger, so their removal is more difficult. It is not good for diabetics, pregnant women, people with kidney and liver disease, and people with or with some form of cancer. The treatment is not intended for people who have high expectations and want to achieve significant results overnight.
