One consumption of peanuts has been shown to cause the release of a hormone known as cholecystokinin, which allows gastric acid to ignite the esophagus. There is a solution. If you can try to replace fatty meat with fish, which is known for its anti-inflammatory effect.
Unfortunately for all dairy lovers, the bad news follows. In case you didn't know, they are also one of the causes of heartburn, and are known to prolong the acid retention of the esophageal mucosa. If you can't give up dairy, then use those that contain less fat.
Coffee, chocolate and, of course, alcohol also contribute to the heartburn, although this has not yet been fully proven. Peppermint can also be dangerous for your stomach, because menthol causes the lower esophageal sphincter to release.
